What Does It Feel Like?
Your skin will be prepared with a topical numbing cream prior to treatment, which allows for a pain free treatment.
You may feel a slight tingling sensation from the vibration of the device.
Following your SkinPen treatment you will experience redness and heat similar to sunburn which is a normal reaction and will settle down over a few hours.
How Fast Will I See Results?
SkinPen is recommended as a course. You will notice an improvement in skin tone and texture within the first 28 days following treatment and results will continue to improve for 3 to 6 months following your course of treatments.
To maintain results and keep your fibroblasts active, it is recommended to have a SkinPen treatment once every 4 to 6 months.
Certain concerns may require more sessions to see vast improvements, such as surgical scarring.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
SkinPen is a relatively quick treatment. Prior to treatment your skin will be prepared with a topical anaesthetic which will be left on your skin for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
Once removed your skin will be cleansed and your practitioner will then administer the SkinPen treatment. For a face and neck treatment this typically takes 20-30 minutes.
