Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are advanced, non-surgical treatments designed to restore lost volume, smooth fine lines, and enhance natural facial contours.

Using a gentle injection of hyaluronic acid – a substance naturally found in the skin – fillers help to hydrate, plump, and rejuvenate targeted areas. Results are immediate, subtle, and tailored to your unique features, leaving you with a refreshed and youthful appearance.

How do they work and how long do they last?

How Do Dermal Fillers Work & How Long Do They Last?

Over time the natural ageing process results in changes to facial structure and our skin loses volume, hydration and plumpness.  Hollows appear in areas due to loss of facial volume and gravity allows for the development of jowls, lines and wrinkles.

Dermal fillers, administered via injection, are designed to treat loss of facial volume and add support to areas of the face which require it, they also offer great skin hydration properties and can be used as a treatment to delay the ageing process.

Depending on the type of dermal filler used and the purpose for its use determines how long the dermal filler will last. On average dermal fillers last between 6 and 18 months. Lifestyle and general health can affect treatment longevity and product metabolism.

Treatment Areas

Treatment Areas

Lip Area

The lip area is a popular treatment area. Dermal fillers can enhance the shape, volume and appearance of the natural lip and replace strength and structure to an ageing lip.

Nasolabial Lines

Nasolabial lines (nose to mouth lines) can be treated to replace lost volume, reducing both their depth and appearance and softening facial features.

Jawline

Jawline and chin treatments are designed to enhance the contours of the lower face and can reduce the appearance of jowl formation.

Marionette Lines

Marionette lines which appear at the corners of the mouth can be supported by dermal filler to replace lost volume and reduce the appearance of downturn corners of the mouth.

Cheeks

Cheeks can be treated to provide deep structure to the mid face creating a slight lift to the lower face and subsequently reduce the appearance of jowls, nasolabial and marionette lines.  Dermal fillers can also be administered to replace lost volume to the cheek area adding definition and shape back to the mid-face - an excellent contouring treatment.

Treatment and results

Your Treatment & Results

Your skin will be cleansed and a topical numbing cream may be applied to your skin to ease treatment discomfort. This will be left on your skin for 20 to 30 minutes to take effect.  The dermal filler is injected into your skin by injection using a technique best suited to the chosen dermal filler and its treatment purpose.

We take all reasonable steps to make the treatment as comfortable for you however there can be some mild discomfort experienced for a short time during treatment.  Results are evident immediately after treatment however it takes up to 2 weeks for dermal filler to fully integrate with skin tissue and possible side effects such as swelling or bruising to completely settle.
