 WHAT IS BELOTERO REVIVE?

Belotero Revive, an injectable hyaluronic acid, is part of the skin booster family and is designed to rejuvenate the quality of skin and revitalise the early signs of sun damage. Belotero Revive offers a natural looking and enhanced skin look by rehydrating the skin, improving elasticity and firmness, and smoothing fine lines by reducing skin roughness.

HOW DOES BELOTERO REVIVE WORK?

Belotero revive combines both hyaluronic acid and glycerol which both have their own unique properties and work perfectly alongside each other.

Hyaluronic acid gives the skin hydration and a more radiant, youthful appearance and works at a cellular level within the skin, stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen - a protein that gives skin structure and support.

Glycerol works in conjunction with hyaluronic acid and enhances skin hydration by creating a lasting moisturising effect on the skin.  Glycerol promotes water absorption from the deeper layers of the skin to its surface, providing moisture from the inside out. Studies have shown glycerol to enhance the potency of hyaluronic acid by strengthening the hyaluronic acid matrix.

HOW LONG DOES BELOTERO REVIVE LAST?

You will expect to see an improvement in skin hydration levels shortly after treatment with belotero revive which studies indicate can last up to 9 months following a course of 3 treatments.

Studies also indicate an improvement in skin softness - up to 7 months, skin firmness - up to 6 months and decreased skin pigmentation - up to 9 months following a course of treatment. These study results are all based on a course of 3 treatments taken a month apart. A refresher treatment is recommended after 7 to 9 months.

WHAT CAN BELOTERO REVIVE HELP WITH?

Belotero Revive helps treat the early signs of photodamage by rehydrating the skin, improving elasticity and firmness, and smoothing superficial fine lines by reducing skin roughness.

What is photodamage? It is defined as the change in structure, appearance and function of the skin after ongoing exposure to harmful light rays with advancing ageing.

Exposure can start in the first decade without visible signs on the skin.  As the exposure continues, early signs such as tanning, freckles and sun spots emerge. Other signs of photodamage include fine lines, coarse wrinkles, skin laxity, dryness, sallowness, rough texture, patchy and uneven pigmentation and dilated blood vessels.

YOUR CONSULTATION

You will receive an initial face-to-face consultation with your aesthetic nurse practitioner who will take a detailed medical history and listen to your specific skin concerns and goals to determine a treatment plan suitable for you. Photographs will be taken prior to any treatment to create your own skin journey portfolio.

YOUR TREATMENT AND RESULTS

Prior to your treatment a topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to your skin for 20 to 30 minutes to reduce treatment discomfort.

Your nurse practitioner will then carry out your treatment using different injection techniques dependent on the area being treated and treatment purpose.

We take all reasonable steps to make the treatment comfortable for you however there can be some mild discomfort experienced for a short time during treatment. You may experience some redness at the injection site and due to the nature of the procedure there is a chance of mild bruising.

You will notice an improvement in skin hydration levels within the first week following treatment followed by an improvement in skin tone and texture with a reduction in pigmentation over the coming weeks.
